Four stainless steel anchor bolts and an ABS plastic anchor cover are included for deck installation. The HydroSport is considered a fixed-height goal, but its U-bolts can be loosened to adjust the arm's height along the post. VERTICAL POLE
Vertical pole is one-piece 4” square stainless steel with a minimum 11 gauge wall thickness. A 3/8” thick baseplate and 4 support gussets are welded at the bottom of the vertical pole to allow the unit to be installed via an anchoring system. 5/8” diameter stainless steel anchor bolts are included. A black ABS finishing cover is provided to cover anchor bolts after installation. Pole has a watertight vinyl cap to seal out moisture. The entire unit is powdercoated black.
EXTENSION ARM
The main 45 degree extension arm tube is constructed of 2” x 3” tubing. The extension provides a minimum of 24” from the front of the post to the face of the backboard at any given playing height. Pole design permits the rim to be mounted directly to the extension arm through the backboard so as to reduce stress on the backboard. Extension arm is secured to vertical post by two 4” zinc-plated U-bolts. Additionally, two 1” round backboard braces support the upper corners of the backboard
RIM
Flexible type so as to absorb the stress of player contact. The rim is of institutional quality with an official 5/8” diameter ring. Ring-opening diameter is a standard 18” I.D. Rim has an orange powder-coated finish. Heavy-duty nylon is provided.
